Travel Surgical Technologist Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,690–$1,820
- Location: New Albany, Ohio, near Columbus
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel healthcare assignment
- Start Date: October 25, 2026
- End Date: January 23, 2027
- Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week
- Shift: 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week
- Specialty: Operating Room and perioperative services
- Schedule and unit assignments may vary based on operational needs, with flexibility to support other open shifts or nearby care areas when needed.
Operating Room Technician Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of operating room or surgical technologist experience
- Surgical Technician or Surgical Technologist certification, as applicable
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and operating room procedures
- Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team and maintain a calm, organized environment
- Current professional credentials and successful completion of required competency and credential verification processes
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and attention to detail
Surgical Technologist Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, surgical supplies, equipment, and instrumentation for scheduled procedures
- Maintain a sterile field and follow infection prevention and patient safety standards
- Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and assist the surgical team throughout procedures
- Perform accurate instrument, sponge, and supply counts according to established protocols
- Support operating room turnover, equipment maintenance, and timely preparation for scheduled cases
- Collaborate with surgeons, registered nurses, anesthesia professionals, and other members of the perioperative team
- Demonstrate flexibility and professionalism when supporting changing patient and departmental needs
