Experienced OR Surgical Technologist needed for a 13-week local contract in Harrison Township, New Jersey. This operating room role is a strong fit for a Certified Surgical Technologist with orthopedic and neuro case experience seeking a local contract opportunity in Harrison Township, New Jersey.
Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1690-$1820
- Location: Harrison Township, New Jersey
- Setting: Operating Room / Perioperative Services
- Start Date: 8/31/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 40 hours per week
- On-Call Requirement: 24-hour call requirement, including weekend coverage
- Employment Type: Local contract
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist in a hospital setting
- Current CST certification required
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- High school diploma required
- Demonstrated ability to scrub multiple surgical service lines
- Strong experience in orthopedic surgery and neuro surgery cases required
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field for surgical procedures in the operating room
- Scrub and assist with a variety of surgical cases, with a focus on orthopedic and neuro procedures
- Support high-volume total joint surgeries and minimally invasive spine procedures, including ACDF and posterior lumbar cases
- Ensure surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment are available, organized, and functioning properly
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, registered nurses, and the perioperative team to support efficient patient care
- Participate in orientation, training, and department-specific onboarding activities as required
- Take on-call assignments in accordance with department scheduling needs
