- Shift: 4x10-hour days, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- Orientation: 40 hours
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,870 - $2,000
- Call: Three weeknight call shifts (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) and three weekend call shifts per 6-week schedule
- Floating: May be required to float to Main OR
- Setting Highlights: 9-room surgical environment serving adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of operating room surgical tech experience required
- Washington Surgical Tech license required
- BLS certification required
- Experience in General OR, Spine Surgery, Orthopedics, Podiatry, and Mako Surgical Robot procedures
- Strong aseptic technique, sterile field management, and instrument handling skills
- Ability to support a variety of surgical cases in a high-volume OR environment
- Comfortable with call coverage and a flexible travel schedule
- Must work collaboratively in a team-based perioperative and surgical support setting
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room and ensure all instruments, supplies, and equipment are ready for orthopedic and spine surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons, circulating nurses, and the perioperative team during surgical cases
- Maintain sterile technique and support safe, efficient workflow throughout procedures
- Handle instrumentation, specimen labeling, and equipment management with accuracy
- Support case turnover, room setup, and adherence to universal protocol and fire safety standards
- Participate in call coverage and provide dependable support for scheduled and emergent surgical needs
- Float to the Main OR when needed to help meet departmental needs
