Travel Nursing Job Details

- Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week
- Shift: 6:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Work Setting: On-site operating room and perioperative environment
- Scheduling Note: Flexibility may be needed for schedule adjustments, reassignment, or floating based on operational needs.
Operating Room RN Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of professional operating room nursing experience
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license
- Operating room nursing experience with knowledge of perioperative workflows, surgical procedures, and patient safety practices
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and clinical judgment
- Successful completion of required license verification, competency assessment, background screening, and onboarding requirements
Operating Room Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care throughout the perioperative experience
- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, supplies, and patients for scheduled surgical procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and other members of the perioperative care team
- Maintain adherence to sterile technique, infection prevention standards, and surgical safety protocols
- Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changing clinical needs
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient responses
- Support efficient operating room turnover and contribute to a positive patient-care environment
- Adapt to changing case volumes and assist in other assigned areas as needed
