- Variable Start Time: May begin between 07:00 and 08:30 depending on department needs
- Hours per Week: 40
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,440 - $2,570
- Orientation: 16 hours
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
- Charting System: Epic
Job Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- At least 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience required
- Prior experience with ambulatory OR procedures preferred
- Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing, patient safety, and infection control practices
- Experience documenting in Epic or similar electronic health record systems
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment with professionalism and attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care as an Operating Room Registered Nurse
- Support outpatient surgical and endoscopy procedures as needed
- Assist with conscious sedation monitoring, specimen handling and labeling, and universal protocol compliance
- Maintain a strong focus on infection control, fire safety, and patient privacy
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative team members
- Monitor patients throughout the perioperative process and respond appropriately to changing needs
- Promote a smooth workflow by prioritizing tasks and maintaining accurate clinical documentation
