• Location: Atlanta, GA 30342 — Atlanta travel nurse, Georgia nursing jobs
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 8-hour days (Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm)
• Hours: 40 hours per week (Guaranteed)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,690–$1,780/week
• Employment Type: Travel Contract / Travel RN
• Unit: Perioperative Nursing – Urology Surgery (Operating Room, Surgical RN, OR RN)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent perioperative nursing or Operating Room (OR) specialty experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
• Experience in urology surgery or similar surgical specialties preferred
• Willingness to travel required; no local candidates within 50 miles

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative care to surgical patients as a perioperative nurse / OR RN
• Assist with surgical procedures, ensuring proper sterile technique and equipment readiness
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes during surgery; coordinate with surgical team
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in medical records
• Participate in pre-op and post-op patient assessments and perioperative patient education
