Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Contract in Bridgeport, WV

Travel Nursing Job Details
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel contract
- Location: Bridgeport, West Virginia
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- End Date: January 25, 2027
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,200–$2,320 per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, including weekend-day coverage as scheduled
- Call: One weeknight call shift approximately every four weeks from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., plus one weekend call shift during the contract
- Clinical Setting: Acute care, Level II trauma
- Charting: Epic
- Position Type: On-site Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
Operating Room RN Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in West Virginia
- At least 1 year of recent Operating Room nursing experience
- Experience working across multiple areas of the operating room
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to participate in scheduled call rotations
- ACLS certification preferred for assignments involving modern sedation practices
- Da Vinci robotic surgery experience is a strong plus
Perioperative Nursing Responsibilities
- Provide safe, effective perioperative nursing care throughout the surgical process
- Support a diverse surgical case mix, including vascular procedures excluding open-heart surgery, general surgery, orthopedic, neurologic, ophthalmic, and ENT cases
- Work in operating rooms and participate in cross-training in Endoscopy suites
- Prepare and maintain the surgical environment, equipment, and supplies
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the broader surgical team to promote excellent patient outcomes
- Use clinical technology and equipment such as Baxter pumps and robotic surgery systems
- Document patient care accurately in Epic
- Respond to scheduled call assignments and provide timely support for urgent surgical needs
