Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – 13-Week Contract in Bridgeport, WV

Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,200–$2,320
- Location: Bridgeport, WV
- Employment Type: 13-week travel nurse contract
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks, ending January 25, 2027
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts; weekends as scheduled
- Call Requirement: One weeknight call from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. approximately every four weeks, plus one weekend call shift during the contract
- Charting System: Epic
- Unit: Operating Room with cross-training opportunities in Endoscopy
- Healthcare Setting: Acute-care surgical team in a Level II trauma setting
Operating Room RN Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in West Virginia
- At least 1 year of recent Operating Room nursing experience
- Experience supporting a wide range of surgical procedures and Operating Room specialties
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to participate in scheduled weekend and call rotations
- BSN is not required
- Da Vinci robotic surgery experience is strongly preferred
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, comprehensive perioperative nursing care throughout the surgical process
- Support procedures across General Surgery, Vascular, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, ENT, and other specialties
- Care for patients undergoing procedures with the exception of open-heart surgery
- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, supplies, and patients for scheduled procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and other members of the care team
- Cross-train and provide clinical support in Endoscopy as needed
- Use Epic for accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Follow established patient safety, infection-prevention, and surgical-site protocols
- Participate in assigned call coverage and respond to urgent surgical needs
