• Shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM (8-hour days)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
• Call Requirements: As needed
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,250 – $2,370

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience; orthopedic (ortho) OR experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (HWC offered on-site)
• Experience with perioperative protocols and sterile technique
• Ability to float within scope of practice as needed
• Professional, motivated, and proactive team-oriented attitude
• Compliance with hospital dress code (navy blue scrubs provided)

Responsibilities (Surgical Nurse / OR RN)

• Provide safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative care to surgical patients of all ages
• Assist with a wide variety of surgical procedures including total joint replacements, spine, abdominal, ENT, and more
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratios in the OR and ensure patient safety throughout perioperative phases
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (anesthesia, surgeons, PACU, nursing) to ensure optimal outcomes
• Participate in call and weekend rotations as scheduled
• Document care accurately using Meditech EHR (electronic health record)
• Demonstrate flexibility by floating to other units within scope of practice as needed
