• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 – $1,770

OR RN Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience — perioperative / surgical RN experience required
• Minimum 2 years of hospital experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications required
• Previous travel nursing experience required (travel nurse, travel RN)
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Experience with robotics, urology, general surgery, and bariatric surgery preferred (robotic surgery nurse, bariatric nurse)
• Ability to float as needed per facility policy

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in a busy, dynamic operating room environment
• Assist with a wide range of procedures including liver, kidney, and pancreas transplants, as well as general, robotic, bariatric, ENT, ophthalmology, and plastic surgeries
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech (electronic medical record)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes (surgical team communication, patient safety)
• Adhere to hospital policies, including floating to other units as required
• Maintain professional appearance and comply with dress code: navy scrubs, clean and neat grooming, covered tattoos, and minimal visible piercings
