Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,430 - $2,550
- Location: Vail, CO 81657 — Vail, Colorado travel nursing job in a mountain resort community
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
- Shift: 3 x 12-hour day shifts per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 32 hours per week
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse / On-site
- Number of Positions: 3 Operating Room RN openings
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room RN / perioperative nursing experience required
- Active Registered Nurse license in Colorado OR a valid multistate RN compact license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- HIPAA compliance and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Ability to work independently in the operating room with minimal supervision
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert, compassionate, and individualized perioperative nursing care for surgical patients and families
- Serve as a core Operating Room RN within the surgical suite, assisting in a range of procedures and specialties
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perioperative team members, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Manage daily patient flow, pre-op and post-op coordination, and patient education to support safety and satisfaction
- Adhere to sterile technique, infection control policies, and perioperative best practices
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist with procedures while following facility protocols and patient safety guidelines
- Demonstrate strong clinical assessment, prioritization, critical thinking, and triage skills in the OR
- Delegate tasks appropriately in accordance with Colorado nursing statutes and perioperative team roles
- Advocate for patient safety, communication excellence, and Relationship-Based Care; model Just Culture and organizational values
