Key Responsibilities — Orthopedic Surgeon / Locum Tenens Duties

• Provide comprehensive orthopedic surgical care to a diverse patient population in a Level 3 hospital setting
• Perform a range of orthopedic procedures, including:

• Arthroscopy
• Total joint replacement (hip, knee, shoulder, and other joints)
• Joint revision or repair (shoulder, hip, knee, and other joints)
• Tendon release/repair

• Manage acute trauma and inpatient surgical cases as needed
• Provide outpatient clinic coverage and pre-/post-operative patient care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (ED, anesthesia, PT/OT, nursing) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient encounters, operative notes, and maintain accurate medical records in the hospital EMR
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital safety and credentialing protocols
