PACU Registered Nurse Travel Nursing Job in Everett, Washington

Join a fast-paced Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team in Everett, Washington, a vibrant Puget Sound community with waterfront views, access to Seattle, and outdoor recreation throughout the Pacific Northwest. This travel Registered Nurse opportunity is ideal for an experienced PACU RN who thrives in a collaborative surgical care environment and is confident supporting patients through pre-op, post-op, and Phase II recovery.

  • Schedule Notes: First-time travelers accepted; occasional floating may be required
  • Certifications: ACLS and BLS required
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Patient Population: Pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • At least 1 year of PACU, pre-op, or post-op nursing experience required
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Strong experience with preoperative and postoperative procedures, recovery care, and clinical monitoring
  • Comfort with ambulatory surgery, inpatient surgery, and same-day surgical populations
  • Experience with Epic preferred
  • Ability to provide safe, patient-centered care in a high-acuity surgical setting

Responsibilities

  • Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures in the PACU
  • Perform pre-op and post-op assessments and support Phase II recovery
  • Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, including dysrhythmias and sedation-related concerns
  • Administer medications, manage IVs, and provide pain assessment and intervention
  • Prepare patients for discharge with clear education, instructions, and recovery guidance
  • Support a broad surgical patient population across multiple service lines
  • Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare team members
