Travel PACU RN job in Santa Rosa, California’s 95403 area: join a busy outpatient procedural team in a convenient North Bay location and provide pre-op and post-op recovery care for adolescents through geriatrics.
Join a dynamic perioperative nursing team in Santa Rosa, CA, where you’ll support a fast-paced outpatient procedural environment serving adolescents through geriatrics. This travel Registered Nurse opportunity is ideal for an experienced PACU nurse who enjoys pre/post surgical recovery and exposure to surgery, endoscopy, cath lab, interventional radiology, radiology, and infusion services. This on-site role is based in Santa Rosa, CA.
Job Details
- Setting: Pre/Post / PACU in an outpatient procedural environment
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,190 - $2,310
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
- Shift Schedule: 3 x 12-hour day shifts with variable Monday through Friday start times, beginning as early as 5:30 AM and ending between 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
- Charting System: Epic
- Start Date: 10/19/2026
Job Requirements
- Current California RN license
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications
- At least 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- Previous travel nurse experience required
- Experience in PACU, pre-op, or post-op recovery preferred
- Strong background with cardiac pre/post care, cath lab, interventional radiology, surgery, and endoscopy
- Comfort working in a fast-paced outpatient procedural setting
- Experience using Epic electronic health records (EHR)
- Ability to provide 2 recent professional references
- Must meet compliance and onboarding requirements prior to start
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality pre-op and post-op nursing care for a variety of procedural patients
- Support recovery for patients undergoing surgery, endoscopy, cath lab, IR, radiology, and infusion procedures
- Perform thorough assessments, medication reconciliation, and discharge education
- Monitor patients receiving conscious sedation and post-procedural recovery support
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition in a timely, safe manner
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure smooth patient flow
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow established clinical protocols
- Deliver compassionate patient care while helping patients and families feel informed and supported
