- Float: May float between pre-op, post-op, and PACU

Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission
- Compact license required at submission
- At least 1 year of PACU nursing experience required
- Experience working in pre-op, post-op, and PACU required
- Previous charge nurse experience required
- Experience with Epic charting required
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
- Strong experience caring for adult and pediatric patients across perioperative phases
- Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical recovery environment
- Must be comfortable floating as needed within assigned perioperative areas
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients in the PACU and related perioperative units
- Monitor recovery status, assess pain, manage symptoms, and support post-anesthesia stabilization
- Care for patients recovering from a wide range of procedures, including general surgery, orthopedics, neuro, urology, vascular, GI, ENT, plastics, ophthalmology, and cath lab cases
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in Epic
- Educate patients and families on post-procedure recovery instructions and discharge expectations
- Support safe admissions, transfers, and post-op recovery workflows
- Maintain readiness for diverse PACU procedures and recovery needs
- Deliver high-quality care while promoting efficiency, patient comfort, and excellent clinical outcomes
