PACU Registered Nurse needed for a travel RN opportunity in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. • Shift: Day shift, 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
• Shifts per Week: 3 shifts per week
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,070 - $2,180
• Call Requirements: On-call coverage required, including weekday and weekend call rotation
• Float Requirement: Possible float to related procedural areas as needed
• Charting System: Cerner Aecis Surgi Net
• Orientation: 16 hours

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• 2+ years of PACU nursing or critical care experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• ICU background required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Experience with electronic health record charting systems required
• Ability to care for adult and pediatric patients
• Strong clinical judgment in a high-acuity post-operative environment
• First-time travelers welcome

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate post-operative recovery care for surgical patients in the PACU
• Monitor and assess patients following a wide range of procedures, including complex and high-acuity cases
• Support care for adults, pediatrics, and trauma patients in the post anesthesia care unit
• Manage patients recovering from GI, vascular, cardiac cath, transplant, orthopedic, and trauma-related surgeries
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure smooth patient flow and quality outcomes
• Respond to changing patient conditions and escalate concerns appropriately
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic charting system
• Participate in on-call coverage and float support when needed
• Deliver a high standard of bedside care in a busy, team-oriented clinical setting
