Patient Access Specialist – Billing & Follow Up (Temporary) – Doylestown, PA 18901
Patient Access Specialist needed for Billing & Follow Up at a leading cardiology practice in Doylestown, PA — temporary 6-week role; EMR experience preferred. Join a patient-focused healthcare team and support front desk, medical billing, and follow-up activities.
Job Details
- Position Type: Temporary (6 weeks) with potential extension based on practice needs and performance
- Location: On-site in Doylestown, PA (Central Bucks County)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday; shifts between 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM
- Shifts per Week: 5
- Shift Duration: 8-hour days
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $750 - $810
- Interview: Conducted via TEAMS
- Orientation/Training: 1-hour orientation with HR and EMR training (dates TBD based on start date)
Key Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a physician office or outpatient clinic setting
- Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical office
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred — experience with practice EMR systems a plus
- Professional, compassionate demeanor and attention to detail
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage front desk and patient access operations: greeting patients, check-in/check-out, and patient registration
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments and follow-up visits
- Support medical billing and follow-up processes, including posting payments and tracking outstanding balances
- Perform insurance verification and assist with claims follow-up as needed to ensure accurate patient records
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to deliver seamless patient access and improve patient experience
