Travel PCU Registered Nurse – Step Down Float Night Shift Job in Olympia, Washington

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,770 - $1,860
- Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Schedule: 3x12 nights with weekend coverage; floating may be required based on unit needs
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Charting System: Epic
- Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of registered nursing experience required
- Charge nurse experience required
- Previous cardiac step-down or progressive care experience preferred
- Experience managing patient ratios of approximately 1:4-6
- Current RN license required; compact license must be in hand at submission
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Prior Epic charting experience required
- Must have U.S. nursing experience
- Strong skills in cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and isolation precautions/PPE
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality PCU nursing care for step-down patients across varying clinical settings
- Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition with confidence and urgency
- Interpret telemetry and manage dysrhythmias to support safe patient outcomes
- Deliver care to patients with a wide range of diagnoses, including med-surg, telemetry, and ER boarded patients
- Float between units as needed to support staffing demands and patient care needs
- Serve in charge-related responsibilities when assigned, including staffing coordination and bed flow support
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote efficient, compassionate care
- Document thoroughly and accurately in Epic
