- Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients
- Float Areas: PCU, MS/Tele, and Med Surg
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
- Compact RN license required at submission
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required; 3 years preferred for this travel RN assignment
- Charge nurse experience required
- US clinical experience required
- Experience with Epic charting required
- ACLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience caring for PCU, telemetry, Med Surg, and stepdown patients
- Comfort working with patient ratios ranging from 1:4 to 1:6 depending on acuity
- Must be flexible to float as needed within the facility
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality bedside nursing care for progressive care, telemetry, and stepdown patients
- Monitor and respond to changing patient conditions in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment
- Administer and manage complex therapies such as telemetry monitoring, IV drips, oxygen support, and cardiac care
- Support safe patient flow by floating to appropriate units based on staffing and patient needs
- Perform charge nurse duties when assigned, including coordination of staffing, bed flow, and patient care priorities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote effective patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow facility standards of care
- Contribute to a team-oriented environment while adapting to varied clinical needs across the hospital
