Travel PCU Registered Nurse - Night Shift in Spokane, Washington

This is a 13-week travel RN assignment in a Short Term Acute Care, Level III Trauma Center PCU. The role is ideal for nurses who enjoy providing high-quality care to adult patients with complex medical needs while working 12-hour night shifts in a well-organized, team-focused unit.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience required
  • Active RN license required; compact license must be in hand at submission if applicable
  • BLS and ACLS required
  • Experience with Epic charting required
  • Strong PCU, stepdown, telemetry, or similar acute care experience preferred
  • Comfortable caring for patients with CHF, atrial fibrillation, respiratory failure, sepsis, stroke, DKA, and other complex diagnoses
  • Ability to work rotating weekend coverage as scheduled
  • Willingness to float as needed to support unit needs
  • References and compliance documents required prior to start

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult PCU patients with a range of medical and telemetry needs
  • Monitor patient status, assess changes, and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Administer medications and manage cardiac, respiratory, and metabolic therapies per plan of care
  • Support patients requiring telemetry, oxygen therapy, IV management, and advanced monitoring
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote positive patient outcomes
  • Document accurately and efficiently in Epic
  • Maintain professionalism, teamwork, and flexibility in a fast-paced acute care setting
  • Float between units when needed to meet staffing demands and patient care needs
