- Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Schedule: Must be open to a 36/48-hour alternating schedule; weekends as needed
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,820 - $1,910
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Float Requirement: Med Surg and PCU
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Active RN license in hand before start
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Epic charting experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable caring for patients with MS/PCU overflow needs
- Must be willing to float as needed between PCU and Med Surg
- Ability to work an alternating 36/48-hour schedule and weekends as required
- Valid Nursys verification required with submission
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled, compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients in a PCU / step-down environment
- Support Med Surg and PCU units based on daily staffing needs
- Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in patient condition promptly
- Manage cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, and insulin protocols per unit standards
- Perform comprehensive assessments and communicate patient status effectively with the care team
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary support services to promote quality patient outcomes
- Respond to changes in acuity and participate in rapid response or code support when needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow established charting standards
- Deliver reliable, team-oriented care in a busy acute care nursing setting
