Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience required
- At least 1 year of Pediatric GI or GI nursing experience required
- Previous experience in ambulatory nursing required
- Epic EMR experience required
- BLS certification required
- Experience with outpatient pediatric care and phone triage preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Comfortable with travel assignment expectations and floating as needed within the system
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care for pediatric GI patients in an outpatient setting
- Perform phone triage and support care coordination for families and patients
- Assist with inbasket work and electronic health record documentation in Epic
- Support GI clinic duties, including patient education and follow-up communication
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient patient care
- Prepare patients for GI procedures and help manage outpatient treatment workflows
- Float within the hospital or to affiliated facilities nearby as needed
- Maintain accurate records and deliver compassionate care to pediatric patients and their families
