Job Requirements

• Board certification required
• Physician (MD) degree required
• At least 1 year of pediatric physician experience required
• PALS certification required
• Strong skills in pediatric and newborn ventilation management
• Experience with newborn and pediatric intubation required
• Ability to interpret X-rays and EKGs required
• Comfort with minor procedures and pediatric acute care workflows

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric coverage for patients in an acute care environment
• Evaluate and manage approximately 3 patient encounters per shift
• Perform and support newborn and pediatric ventilation management
• Complete pediatric and newborn intubations as needed
• Interpret X-rays and EKGs to support timely clinical decisions
• Perform minor suturing and circumcision procedures when indicated
• Assist with advanced pediatric procedures such as exchange transfusion and swallow studies
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver efficient, high-quality pediatric care
