Compensation & Shift Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $4,840 – $5,190
- Shift Pattern: 7:00am – 7:00pm shifts with 12-hour beeper call (7:00pm – 7:00am) post shift
- Shifts per Month: 10–12 (12-hour shifts)
- Department: 20-bed pediatric inpatient unit — average ~4 patient encounters per shift
Required Qualifications
- Active physician license in Washington (IMLC not accepted)
- Board Certified in Pediatrics (Board Certified Pediatrician)
- Current DEA license
- BLS and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric hospitalist or inpatient pediatric experience
- Ability to perform pediatric and neonatal intubations preferred
- Current CV required for credentialing
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient pediatric care and clinical decision-making for children and adolescents
- Manage an average of 4 patient encounters per 12-hour shift within a 20-bed pediatric unit
- Cover day shifts and provide evening beeper call coverage as scheduled
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, with 24/7 support services (anesthesia, surgery, radiology, and subspecialists)
- Document and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with hospital policies
- Perform pediatric intubations and emergency airway management when clinically indicated (preferred)
- Ensure high standards of patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols at a Level III pediatric center
