Required Qualifications (Psychiatry Physician Requirements)
- Board Certification in Psychiatry (required)
- Active West Virginia medical license required; IMLC or WV temporary license eligible candidates welcome
- DEA license preferred
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in psychiatry (inpatient experience preferred)
- Ability to complete credentialing within 60 days
Responsibilities – Inpatient Psychiatry Duties
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric care to adult inpatients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Conduct medication management, medication checks, and psychotherapy as clinically indicated
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary support staff (nursing, social work, case management) to coordinate care
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Cerner EMR consistent with hospital policies
- Manage a daily census of 11–16 adult patients, triaging and adjusting care based on clinical needs
