Quality Assurance Registered Nurse Requirements
- Active, unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 2 years of professional nursing experience
- Experience with quality assurance, quality improvement, patient safety, regulatory compliance, or clinical performance initiatives preferred
- Strong understanding of nursing standards, clinical documentation, and evidence-based practice
- Ability to collaborate effectively with nurses, providers, department leaders, and interdisciplinary teams
- Current applicable certifications with valid expiration dates; certifications must be from AHA or ARC when required
- Ability to provide two professional references obtained within the past year
- Ability to complete required onboarding, laboratory screening, compliance documentation, and work history verification
Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Responsibilities
- Support quality assurance, quality improvement, and performance improvement initiatives across clinical services
- Review clinical processes, nursing documentation, and patient outcomes to identify opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to promote patient safety and regulatory readiness
- Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of corrective action plans
- Analyze quality data and communicate findings, trends, and recommendations to clinical and administrative leaders
- Help reinforce evidence-based nursing practices and consistent adherence to organizational standards
- Participate in audits, clinical reviews, staff education, and process improvement activities
- Serve as a professional resource and advocate for high-quality, patient-centered care
