  • Setting: Hospital-based radiation oncology department
  • Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
  • Charting System: Meditech (Cerner transition underway)

Job Requirements

  • Board certified in Radiation Oncology, or board eligible within 5 years of training
  • Active state medical license required
  • DEA required
  • BLS required
  • ACLS required if moderate/conscious sedation privileges are requested
  • At least 1 year of Radiation Oncology experience required; 1-2 years preferred
  • Experience with Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) required
  • Comfort treating an adult oncology patient population
  • Strong clinical documentation, communication, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive radiation oncology consults and treatment management
  • See approximately 16-20 treatments and 1 consult per day
  • Deliver care using SBRT, SRS, IMRT, VMAT, and 3D conformal radiation techniques
  • Collaborate with the care team to support safe, effective treatment planning and delivery
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system
  • Evaluate patients and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicated
  • Support high-quality oncology care in a busy, well-organized hospital environment
