Radiation Oncology Locum Tenens Job Details

Radiation Oncologist Job Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine degree and current physician licensure applicable to practice in Illinois
- At least 1 year of experience practicing radiation oncology
- Ability to evaluate and manage patients receiving radiation therapy in an outpatient oncology setting
- Experience reviewing medical histories, imaging, and pathology for new patient consultations
- Ability to collaborate effectively with medical physicists, dosimetry teams, medical oncology, surgery, and clinical support staff
- Availability for the required weekday schedule, night call, and occasional weekend coverage
Radiation Oncology Physician Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients undergoing radiation therapy in an outpatient clinic
- Conduct new patient consultations and review relevant medical history, imaging, and pathology
- Develop and oversee radiation treatment plans in collaboration with medical physicists and dosimetry professionals
- Provide follow-up care and survivorship planning for patients after treatment
- Coordinate patient care with medical oncology, surgery, and other members of the multidisciplinary oncology team
- Provide scheduled weekday coverage and participate in assigned night call and occasional weekend responsibilities
