Radiologic Technologist / X-Ray Tech Travel Job in Portland, Oregon

Join a fast-paced radiology team in Portland, OR, and bring your ARRT (R) expertise to a respected short-term acute care setting. This 13-week Radiology Technologist travel assignment offers a structured night schedule, meaningful clinical variety, and the chance to work in one of the Pacific Northwest’s most vibrant healthcare markets.

Job Details

  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,660 - $1,780
  • Location: Portland, OR 97225
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  • Schedule: Block schedule, 3x12-hour night shifts
  • Shift Time: Friday - Sunday, 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Call Requirement: 3 call shifts per month
  • Orientation: 40 hours
  • Charting System: Epic preferred
  • Floating: May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities as needed

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of Radiology / X-Ray Tech experience required
  • ARRT (R) certification required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Oregon state license required; pending license may be considered
  • Fluoro Permit required
  • Experience with Epic charting preferred
  • Must be comfortable working weekends and participating in call coverage
  • Reliable vehicle required for this assignment
  • Strong clinical skill set in diagnostic imaging, trauma imaging, and portable radiology procedures

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures accurately and efficiently across a variety of patient populations
  • Complete imaging for extremities, abdomen/GE, spine/pelvis, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, and upper/lower extremities
  • Assist with surgery and C-arm procedures as needed
  • Support bedside/portable imaging, emergency department cases, and other high-volume workflows
  • Follow radiation safety, infection prevention, and isolation precautions at all times
  • Prepare and administer contrast media in accordance with policy and scope of practice
  • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and work collaboratively with the care team
  • Provide compassionate, patient-focused care while adapting to a busy clinical environment
