Travel Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) Jobs – ARRT(R) Contract in Portland, Oregon
Join a high-volume acute care imaging team as a Radiologic Technologist in Portland, Oregon. This 13-week travel contract offers ARRT(R)-certified Rad Techs the opportunity to provide diagnostic imaging for patients across the lifespan in a collaborative hospital environment.
Travel Radiology Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,660–$1,780
- Location: Portland, Oregon
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel contract
- Start Date: November 2, 2026
- End Date: February 1, 2027
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, Wednesday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
- Scheduling: Block scheduling required; weekends are not required
- Call: 3 call shifts per month
- Orientation: 40 hours
- Charting: Epic preferred
- Patient Population: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
- Healthcare Setting: High-volume short-term acute care environment
Radiologic Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent Radiologic Technologist or Rad Tech experience
- Active Oregon state license; compact license must be in hand at submission when applicable
- ARRT(R) certification
- Current BLS certification
- Valid fluoroscopy permit
- Demonstrated competency with extremity, abdomen/GE, spine/pelvis, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, lower-extremity, and upper-extremity imaging
- Experience with surgery and C-arm procedures
- Preferred experience with neonatal and infant imaging
- Preferred familiarity with head imaging, fluoroscopy studies, Carestream, O-arm, PACS, and Epic
- Ability to provide two professional references covering at least one year of experience within the past three years
Radiologic Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, ICU, operating room, and pediatric settings
- Complete imaging of the chest, abdomen, spine, pelvis, extremities, and musculoskeletal system according to department protocols
- Perform portable and bedside radiographic procedures, including portable chest and abdomen studies
- Assist with surgical and C-arm procedures while maintaining radiation safety standards
- Prepare and administer contrast media as permitted by departmental policy and professional scope
- Support fluoroscopy and specialty imaging procedures as qualified
- Accurately document examinations and results using PACS and electronic medical record systems
- Deliver safe, compassionate patient care to individuals ranging from neonates to older adults
- Maintain infection prevention, isolation, radiation safety, and patient safety standards
- Participate in scheduled call coverage and collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
