Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Recent Med/Surg Tele, telemetry nursing, or acute care hospital experience strongly preferred
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of New Jersey or compact eligibility, if applicable
- Ability to monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic medical-surgical and telemetry setting
Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in a Med/Surg Tele unit
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and report significant changes in patient status
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support safe, effective patient outcomes
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and promptly in the medical record
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Maintain a safe, patient-centered environment while upholding professional nursing standards
