Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
- Strong NICU and PICU RRT experience required
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Current BLS certification
- Current NRP certification
- Current PALS certification
- Active Virginia respiratory therapist license required
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced NICU environment
- Strong collaboration skills and a flexible team-player mindset
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy care to neonatal and pediatric patients in a hospital NICU setting
- Assess patient respiratory status and implement appropriate therapeutic interventions
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot respiratory care equipment
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support patient care plans
- Respond to changes in patient condition with timely clinical judgment and intervention
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with facility standards
- Support weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
