Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Tumor Registrar experience in cancer registry or oncology data abstraction
- Required CTR/ODS certification
- Associate's degree in a relevant field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Proven experience managing complex tumor registry cases, including BMT treatments, multiple-facility abstracts, and rare or complex primary sites
- Ability to meet quality standards with a minimum expectation of 90% accuracy and a mean goal of 95%
- Experience completing user-defined fields and maintaining accurate registry documentation
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and independent workflow management
Responsibilities
- Abstract and manage tumor registry cases with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- Review and interpret oncology-related medical records across multiple systems and documentation sources
- Handle complex cancer registry abstracts involving rare primary sites, BMT treatments, and multi-facility case histories
- Maintain data integrity and support quality review expectations for oncology reporting
- Complete required user-defined fields and ensure registry documentation meets established standards
- Collaborate with internal teams to support oncology data reporting and registry operations
- Use cancer registry and clinical documentation software platforms effectively in daily workflow
