Travel Occupational Therapist – Inpatient Rehabilitation | Gwynn Oak, MD

• Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
• Schedule: 5x8-hour day schedule, approximately 40 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840 - $1,980
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
• Holiday Coverage: Required as scheduled
• Floating: May be required within scope as needed
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Preferred Charting System Experience: Epic

Occupational Therapist Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of Occupational Therapy experience in a rehab or acute care setting
• Active Maryland OT license or compact license at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Experience with CVA rehabilitation required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Preferred experience with charge duties and electronic health record charting systems
• Comfort working with adult and geriatric rehabilitation patients
• Strong skills in adaptive equipment, patient education, safety and injury prevention, and functional mobility support

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services to patients recovering from neurological and orthopedic conditions
• Evaluate patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans to support recovery, independence, and return to daily living
• Deliver therapy interventions for traumatic brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, and other complex rehab diagnoses
• Collaborate with physical therapy, interpretation services, and the broader care team to support patient goals
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, adaptive techniques, and injury prevention strategies
• Assess and recommend adaptive equipment, splints, positioning supports, and wheelchair-related interventions
• Document care accurately and efficiently in the assigned charting system, including Epic when applicable
• Maintain flexibility to support unit needs and provide high-quality care throughout the travel assignment
