Travel Occupational Therapy Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,900–$2,040
• Location: South Bend, Indiana
• Assignment: Travel occupational therapy contract beginning October 19, 2026, through January 4, 2027, with potential for extension
• Schedule: Monday–Friday; 5 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
• Typical Hours: 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call: None
• Weekends and Holidays: None
• Work Locations: Local school corporations 2–3 days per week during the school year, with outpatient pediatric care for the remainder of the week
• Orientation: Two 8-hour orientation days plus online onboarding
• Documentation Systems: ReDoc and Cerner

Travel Occupational Therapist Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical occupational therapy experience
• Previous travel therapy experience required
• Experience in outpatient pediatrics and/or school-based occupational therapy
• Current Occupational Therapist registration through NBCOT
• Active Indiana Occupational Therapist license
• Teaching-hospital experience preferred
• Ability to work with neonates, infants, children, and adolescents through age 18
• COVID-19 and influenza vaccinations required, with medical or religious exemptions considered
• Ability to follow department and school-corporation policies and procedures

Pediatric Occupational Therapy Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat pediatric patients from newborn through age 18 in an outpatient setting
• Provide occupational therapy services in local schools 2–3 days per week during the school year
• Develop individualized pediatric OT treatment plans that support functional development, participation, and independence
• Document assessments, interventions, progress, and discharge planning accurately in ReDoc and Cerner
• Collaborate with physical therapists, speech therapists, unit support staff, families, educators, and other members of the care team
• Adapt occupational therapy interventions to meet each child’s developmental, sensory, motor, and functional needs
• Follow safety, infection-prevention, clinical, and school-based practice standards
