This permanent, on-site Home Health Respiratory Therapist role offers the opportunity to deliver personalized respiratory therapy, build lasting patient relationships, and support individuals outside traditional clinical settings. Job Details

  • Employment Type: Permanent, On-Site (Homecare / Home Health)
  • Location: Uvalde, TX 78801 (serving Uvalde & Del Rio areas)
  • Position: Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) — Home Respiratory Care
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $62,400 - $72,800
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm
  • Shift Duration: 8 Hour Days
  • Hours per Week: 40
  • On-Call: No rotation currently; may be on-call as needed
  • Travel: Required to patient homes in Uvalde and Del Rio; must be available to assist at other locations if needed
  • Sign-On Bonus: $2,000 gross sign on bonus to be paid after 60 days and another $2,000 after 180 days of continuous employment (for external candidates)

Job Requirements

  • Active licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) in Texas
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience in respiratory therapy or pulmonary care
  • Background in home health, hospital, or clinic-based respiratory care
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for travel to patient homes
  • Ability to lift and transport patient equipment (minimum 65 lbs)
  • Willingness to travel to patient homes and other locations across Uvalde & Del Rio as needed

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive in-home patient assessments and develop individualized home respiratory care plans
  • Provide education and training to patients and caregivers on oxygen therapy, CPAP/BiPAP use, airway clearance, and equipment operation
  • Adjust ventilator settings and monitor respiratory devices according to physician orders and established protocols
  • Perform routine equipment setup, troubleshooting, maintenance, and transport to/from patient homes
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation of visits, treatments, and patient interactions in electronic health records
  • Provide ongoing phone support, follow-up care, and coordination with physicians, home health nurses, and other care team members
  • Participate in on-call duties and assist at other locations when required to meet patient needs
