Registered Nurse (ER) in Buffalo, NY (14222) — 10-week local contract starting April 12, 2026. Active New York RN license and BLS required; 1+ year of recent ER/ED nursing experience preferred. Join a dynamic emergency department team providing critical care in a fast-paced setting.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
  • Minimum 1 year of recent ER / Emergency Department nursing experience
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
  • Experience with medication administration, monitoring, and ED documentation
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams in a high-pressure emergency setting

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the Emergency Room / ED
  • Assess, triage, and prioritize patient needs using emergency nursing best practices
  • Administer medications, IVs, and treatments as ordered; monitor patient response
  • Perform ongoing patient assessments and accurate ED documentation
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary ED team
  • Provide patient and family education, discharge instructions, and follow-up guidance
  • Maintain safety, infection control, and emergency preparedness protocols in the ED
