Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced ICU RN / Critical Care Nurse for a travel nurse opportunity in an acute-care Intensive Care Unit. This ICU travel assignment is ideal for Registered Nurses with strong critical thinking, ventilator management, and acute patient monitoring skills. Vineland, NJ offers a welcoming community and easy access to nearby metropolitan and coastal areas.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Active RN license in New Jersey or compact state
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience (progressive critical care experience preferred)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Experience with ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and titratable drips
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care teams
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status, trends, and responses to interventions
- Operate and manage mechanical ventilators and advanced life support equipment
- Administer medications, titrate drips, and perform advanced nursing procedures as indicated
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other team members to develop and implement care plans
- Deliver compassionate education and support to patients and families during critical illness
- Adhere to hospital policies to maintain a safe, clean clinical environment
