Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina or an active multistate compact RN license
• Minimum 1 year recent clinical experience in LTAC, sub-acute, acute care, or critical care nursing
• BLS certification required (AHA preferred)
• Experience with ventilator management, tracheostomy care, IV therapy, medication administration, and clinical assessment
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced LTAC environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for care coordination

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with complex, long-term acute conditions as an LTAC RN
• Monitor patient progress, perform thorough clinical assessments, and implement nursing interventions
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and manage IV therapy safely
• Manage ventilator and tracheostomy care and perform skilled nursing procedures as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary staff to develop individualized care plans
• Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records in accordance with facility standards
• Educate and support patients and families through compassionate communication and care coordination
