Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York
- Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, documentation (EMR), communication, and teamwork skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital setting and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to adult medical/surgical patients as a Med/Surg RN
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor clinical status, and document patient progress in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and according to physician orders and hospital policy
- Coordinate patient care with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care instructions
- Maintain infection control standards, safety procedures, and accurate handoffs during shift changes
