Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry or related acute care setting
- BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Strong clinical assessment, patient monitoring, and telemetry interpretation skills
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education abilities
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients on the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Monitor, interpret, and respond to telemetry data and changes in patient condition, including cardiac rhythms
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document care accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
