Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in a hospital or acute care setting
- Valid RRT credential (state licensure as required)
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Ability to work day shifts and provide occasional night coverage as needed
- Strong teamwork, communication, and clinical skills for acute care respiratory therapy
- Experience with ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality respiratory care to inpatients in a hospital environment as an RRT
- Perform respiratory assessments, treatments, oxygen therapy, aerosol and bronchodilator treatments, and therapeutic interventions consistent with RRT scope of practice
- Provide ventilator management and weaning protocols, airway management, and monitoring of respiratory status
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team (nurses, physicians, and other allied health professionals) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Assist with patient transports and special cases including Medevac, long-term care (LTC), and long-term acute care (LTAC) as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) and adhere to hospital protocols and respiratory care policies
- Provide coverage for night shifts and vacation relief to support continuity of care
