Job Details

• Location: Waterloo, NY (13165) — Finger Lakes region; New York nursing jobs
• Setting: Long-Term Care Facility — long-term care RN, skilled nursing facility (SNF)
• Employment Type: Travel Contract / Travel Nursing
• Schedule: Full-Time Evenings (3:00pm – 11:30pm), 5x8-hour shifts per week
• Duration: 14 weeks (April 7, 2026 – July 11, 2026)
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holidays as needed
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,000–$2,100/week

Qualifications (RN Requirements)

• Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) licensure required — RN licensure New York
• Graduate of an accredited School of Registered Professional Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in long-term care, SNF, or geriatrics
• Supervisory experience across multiple units — prior charge nurse or nurse supervisor experience preferred
• BLS certification (AHA or RQI only)
• CPI certification (to be obtained within 90 days of hire)
• Knowledge of NYSDOH requirements and long-term care regulatory compliance
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, analytical, and organizational skills
• Computer literacy and experience with electronic health records (EHR)

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of nursing units and provide clinical supervision to nursing staff — RN supervisor, charge nurse duties
• Ensure quality resident care through coaching, teaching, and staff development
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and Nurse Managers to resolve unit issues and support clinical initiatives
• Make sound administrative and clinical decisions in the absence of senior leadership
• Model professional behavior, effective communication, and promote a healing, resident-centered environment
• Manage multiple priorities, staffing assignments, and timely documentation to meet regulatory and facility standards
• Maintain compliance with safety standards, infection control protocols, and NYSDOH regulations
• Promote dignity, respect, and well-being for residents and staff while fostering teamwork
