Nurse Practitioner Job Requirements
- Active California Nurse Practitioner license required
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- California DEA with Schedule 2/2N required
- NP board certification required: A-GNP-C, ANP-C, FNP-C, GNP-C, AGPCNP-BC, ANP-BC, FNP-BC, GNP-BC, ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, or ACNPC
- At least 2 years of surgical oncology experience required
- GI surgical oncology experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable working in an outpatient surgical oncology setting
- Current CV, provider questionnaire, and license verification required for submission
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient surgical oncology care for adult patients
- Support a collaborative care team that includes attendings, APPs, and RNs
- Manage approximately 30-40 patient encounters per week
- Perform staple and drain removal, wound care, and wound vac maintenance
- Evaluate and manage patients with colorectal, pancreatic, and liver cancer diagnoses
- Document patient care and follow-up in Epic
- Deliver efficient, high-quality care in a fast-paced academic outpatient environment
