Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Contract in Salem, Massachusetts

Join an adult medical telemetry team in Salem, MA, as a travel Registered Nurse (RN) and provide high-quality inpatient care while monitoring cardiac rhythms. Travel Nursing Job Details

  • Location: Salem, Massachusetts
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010
  • Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
  • Start Date: November 1, 2026
  • Schedule: 36 hours per week, typically three 12-hour shifts
  • Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
  • Shift Expectations: Night shifts, including every other weekend; rotating shifts may be required as needed
  • Patient Population: Adult medical patients
  • Patient Ratio: Approximately 4–5 patients per RN
  • Healthcare Setting: 24-bed private-room inpatient medical telemetry unit

Telemetry RN Job Requirements

  • At least 3 years of Registered Nurse experience in one location
  • At least 2 years of travel nursing experience
  • Active Massachusetts RN license
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips
  • Experience caring for adult medical-surgical or telemetry patients
  • Ability to work night shifts, every other weekend, rotating shifts, and float as required
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and teamwork skills

Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical telemetry patients in a fast-paced inpatient setting
  • Continuously monitor, interpret, and communicate cardiac rhythm changes
  • Complete nursing assessments, administer medications, perform treatments, and evaluate patient responses
  • Recognize changes in patient condition and promptly escalate concerns to the appropriate care team
  • Document patient care accurately and efficiently in EPIC
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and fellow nurses to support positive patient outcomes
  • Promote patient safety, education, comfort, and continuity of care
  • Float to other appropriate units and adapt to rotating shift needs when assigned
