- Healthcare Setting: On-site telephone triage call center with a neurology focus
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,810–$1,910
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- End Date: January 18, 2027
- Contract Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Schedule: 5 shifts per week, Monday through Friday
- Nursing Shift: 8-hour day shifts, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Patient Population: Adults
- Electronic Health Record: Epic
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with an active California nursing license at the time of submission
- At least 2 years of Registered Nurse experience
- Previous neurology nursing experience required
- Telephone triage or call center nursing experience preferred
- Current ACLS certification
- Demonstrated proficiency with Epic or a comparable electronic health record
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient education skills
- Ability to work independently in an on-site, weekday environment
Telephone Triage Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, accurate telephone triage for adult patients with neurological concerns
- Assess symptoms, identify changes in condition, and determine appropriate next steps
- Use clinical judgment to prioritize patient needs and escalate urgent concerns appropriately
- Provide education regarding symptoms, medications, follow-up care, and treatment instructions
- Complete medication reconciliation, pain assessments, and collection of relevant patient information
- Coordinate referrals, prescription refill requests, pharmacy calls, and disability-related forms
- Review and communicate laboratory results and other clinical information within established protocols
- Prepare charts, verify patient information, and accurately document all telephone encounters in Epic
- Obtain and document vital signs and other required clinical data when applicable
