Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of recent, full-time equivalent telemetry or related acute care nursing experience within the last 3 years
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where care is provided
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Completion of a Basic Arrhythmia course
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to telemetry patients with a focus on safety, accuracy, and compassion
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and identify changes in patient condition promptly
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards and provider orders
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support patient care plans
- Perform thorough assessments and document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record
- Respond quickly and professionally to changes in telemetry readings or patient needs
- Support a positive patient experience through attentive, patient-centered care
