Telemetry Registered Nurse - Travel Assignment in Spokane, Washington

Travel to Spokane, Washington for an exciting Telemetry Registered Nurse opportunity in a fast-paced acute care setting. This 13-week travel RN job is ideal for a nurse with neuro telemetry experience who enjoys caring for complex neurological patients in a respected teaching hospital.

  • Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Weekly Schedule: 3 shifts per week
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,850-$1,950
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Patient Ratio: 1:4
  • Float Requirement: May float between units to meet facility needs

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission; compact license required if applicable
  • At least 1 year of nursing experience required
  • Telemetry and neuro experience strongly preferred
  • Experience caring for post-surgical neurology patients and a variety of neurological diagnoses
  • Comfort using the NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Experience with Epic charting is required
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Ability to support a patient population that includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
  • Flexibility to work weekends and float as needed

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care to neuro and neurosurgical patients
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to dysrhythmias
  • Perform focused neuro assessments, including NIH Stroke Scale evaluations
  • Care for patients with CVA, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, craniotomy, and other neurological conditions
  • Support pre- and post-operative neurosurgical patients with safe, compassionate care
  • Manage BiPAP/CPAP therapies, chest tubes, and procedural sedation monitoring as needed
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support positive patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
  • Adapt to unit needs while delivering dependable, team-oriented care
