Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry RN or med-surg telemetry experience required
- 2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience with Epic charting required
- Strong knowledge of telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and cardiac rhythm management
- Ability to manage a 1:6 patient ratio in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Comfortable working night shifts and floating to comparable units as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, assess changes in patient condition, and respond appropriately to clinical needs
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established nursing practice
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, and other support services
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
- Support patient safety through infection control, isolation precautions, and rapid response awareness
- Assist with care interventions such as IV management, oxygen therapy, wound care, and cardiac monitoring
- Float to units of equal acuity when needed while maintaining excellent clinical standards
