- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Location: Corpus Christi, Texas
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 - $1,540
- Setting: Med/Surg Telemetry
- Unit Highlights: 8 inpatient beds with an admission unit that can flex based on census
- Charting System: Meditech electronic health record (EHR)
- Schedule Notes: Rotating weekends as needed
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of acute care med/surg experience within the last year
- Ability to care for 4-6 patients at a time in a telemetry nursing environment
- Telemetry RN or med/surg background preferred
- Ortho or neuro-surgery experience is a plus
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
- Friendly, positive, patient-centered approach to bedside nursing care
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to med/surg telemetry patients
- Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Administer medications and carry out physician orders accurately
- Perform standard nursing skills such as IV insertions and urinary catheter care
- Maintain and monitor central lines as needed
- Document patient care thoroughly in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, PCAs, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Support safe, efficient patient flow while delivering excellent bedside care
